1) Hop Butcher Be Alert For Foul Balls (6.75% canned 8/19/2025): A NEIPA from Chicago with Nelson & Motueka for flavors of orange, tropical grapes, some lime notes.
versus
2) Hop Butcher Kielbasa King (7.5% canned 7/1/2025): A NEIPA from Chicago with Mosaic and Nelson for flavors of white citrus, grape, overripe berry, melon. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Hop Butcher IPA Battle. First is Be Alert For Foul Balls, a fresh release from Hop Butcher. Nice Nelson and Motueka for flavors of orange, some zesty lime and grape. This is good, but still a bit too fresh and might need a week or two to settle in.
Next is Kielbasa King. Mosaic and Nelson. Complex and robust grape, berries, melon. This is outstanding and among the best from Hop Butcher.
Winner: Hop Butcher Kielbasa King

 

A half pour of the Old Town Lager at Saints Row Brewing. Very good.
