Another chilly morning here as we slide down that short, steep hill into winter. Yesterday I managed to successfully move my pet snapping turtle back indoors for the winter - after spending all summer outside with little human contact, he slide right back into his groove of hanging out with humans.

Ulster 2-Year Aged Sumatra from Lavery Brewing. 16 fl oz can picked up at Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA, 28/08/25 - $ 4.25 (including tax)/$ 0.266/fl oz. Reviewed 12/09/25, review 3585.
Final impression and summation: 4.25 Uncredited artist of a simple but on-point label. Quite tasty – the best I’ve had from Lavery in years.

I'm sipping on this Oktoberfest from Half Acre. It's not very Marzen like but it's pretty good.

A day out in Salisbury today and a visit to Dark Revolution who are about 5 miles from Stonehenge.

Spoetzl re-released this this year to coincide with Texas Independence Day,after being discontinued in the 60's.
Pretty standard AAL,clean,no flaws detected. Boring but not bad.
Extremely light,even by AAL standards.
Touch of sweetness on the midpalate with a bone dry finish..
Very high minerality with this one,almost like it was brewed with Topo Chico,lol.
These guys also sell a light version of this. I can't imagine going any lighter.

I'm back with, I reckon, a newish offering from De Glazen Toren. It isn't quite in my comfort zone but, I'll let it be by saying that it's interesting.

Poured into a 16 oz Snulip glass canned on 8/20/25. Pours a very attractive hazy yellow, with a solid 2 finger sticky white head that leaves thick streaks of lace with excellent retention. 4.75

Aroma is passionfruit, tangerine, peach, mango, guava, and apricot wow nice. 4.75

Taste follows passionfruit, tangerine, peach, mango, guava, and apricot very well balanced. 4.75

Mouthfeel is above average. Soft gentle carbonation, not sticky or dry, and at 7% it drinks bigger in body and flavor, but is extremely approachable and easy going down. 4.75

Overall this is exceptional. 4.75 Cheers all.
