    1) Toppling Goliath Oktoberfest (5.2%):     A Marzen from Iowa with flavors of pale Munich, some grains and honey. Dry and crisp finish.
    versus
    2) Fair State Festbier (5.4%): A Festbier from Minnesota with flavors of pale bread malt, light honey and sweetness. (Mismatched the two blind)

    Festbier Battle. Previously did this battle in 2023. First is Toppling Goliath. Excellent Oktoberfestbier, but was sort of disappointed by it last year. Smooth, some toasted notes. Yet clean. Fully redeemed itself this year.
    Next is Fair State. Slightly more malt sweetness and cloying, but not as complex.
    Winner: Toppling Goliath Oktoberfest

    In Indianapolis for work, this is M-43 from Old Nation Brewing. It is fresh and it is outstanding, IMHO.
