    Good morning BA's!

I know it's nothing to you Midwest and East Coast folks but it's a chilly 19 degrees here in Oregon with snow on the way PLUS I got an unexpected bonus check at work! So I am celebrating likes it's 2011!

What a great beer. When I tried the 2010 vintage at the 3 year mark I wasn't quite as impressed, but the 2011 is great right now. Still fairly hoppy for the age, but becoming much more rich and malt balanced.

Listening to some awesome expiremental/psych-metal/rock from Japan.

Ballast Point Victory at Sea - real letdown - like burnt stale coffee with a touch of alcohol. Second drain pour this week - on to Fathead's Head Hunter.

Changed my mind - going with Ten Fidy instead. This is definitely an IRS morning!

Graveyard shift is always weird. Today, it's Thursday AND Friday for me...so, why not celebrate with a little nightcap? Hell, it's almost the weekend.

I recently read some article that listed the 10 signs of alcoholism...the number 1 sign was drinking in the morning. Whoever wrote it has obviously never gone to college, nor worked their ass off on the 3rd shift. Bunch of dorks. Cheers!

Or had insomnia or been "older" and simply started to awaken before the crack of dawn pushing their entire lives into the morning rather than the evening hours. I can remember my old Uncel Tom. (90 something and still drinking boilermakers) . . . he used to walk everywhere and start drinking around 10 am when he would start to cook.

Down to the last of my batch from 09/2011....this beer ages oh so gracefully. It is now showcasing an aroma that is akin to a BBA imperial stout. Dark fruits, dark chocolate, molasses in the taste with a discernible earthy bitterness towards a the end of a long, long, finish. A beautifully executed beer from Bells that has stood the test of time.

Boneyard Hop Venom! True to its name, felt like I could squirt hops out from my tongue an hour after drinking it. Great DIPA though, albeit a little sweet (hahaha...I complaint too much about sweetness in my beers, haven't I? :grinning:)

Ayinger really doesn't put out anything less than flawless IMO. I'm sure you guys get sick of me posting the same beers, but I have yet to find anything that I enjoy quite this much. Cheers once more, and goodnight!
