I love everything about that brewery - some of the nicest people in the industry, too.

I wrote this tune circa 2000's and recorded it on a Tascam 4 track cassette recorder. I wanted to do a song with harmonized guitar parts - I played all the harmonies myself, I didn't use a harmonizer. Something different anyways. I really like the ending of the tune.

IdonteverwanttoBU by The Veil. This stuff is a crime against IPAs, and I was really agreeing with the opinion that The Veil doesn't have it any more after drinking a really bad whiteferrari recently. This was the last can on the shelf (not even a 4pk) and I had to get it, with this beer's reputation. It didn't disappoint, and it's up there with some of the best NEIPAs I've ever drank. Since I drink about 40% NEIPAs, it's not really high on my beer rankings overall, but it's sitting with Trillium Cutting Tiles (Nelson) as one of the best NEIPAs I've ever had. Full review below, I'm still left wondering how a Citra/Mosaic IPA can be so smooth and easy to enjoy.

Canned 09/19/25, last in the store, into a wide wine glass.

Pours a murky orange with nice white foam, pretty dark. Aroma is honeydew, mango, and dank grapefruit, super intense, quite hoppy but not quite on the level of some ipas from The Veil. Flavor follows nose completely. Soft, juicy mango, grapefruit juice, cantaloupe and honeydew, a little sweet malt on the back end and a tiny bit of spice and dank bitterness. However, it lives up to its name and description almost perfectly. This is the smoothest IPA I've ever drank with almost negative bitterness. I keep expecting bitterness and there's just none, with a really low alcohol content that just manifests as a little spice. It's not the most juicy thing ever and isn't incredibly complex, but the fruit flavors are still very intense and quite real. Mouthfeel is great, lower carb which makes it really easy to drink, and it's higher body without having any burn or ethanol.

This is wizardry. I've had Juicy Bits and Other Half IPAs, and those should count as the juiciest beers ever made. However, this one is still the smoothest. It's not the most flavorful or crazy new hop idea, but it's just an incredibly well done NEIPA that follows through on the 0 IBU promise. I don't love sweet beers, but this one still feels balanced and drinkable even with no bitterness.

...I've enjoyed Dream Syndicate ever since hearing the tune 'Tell Me When It's Over' on an old sample cassette of early Slash Records tunes...I also have (on cassette) their albums 'The Days of Wine and Roses' and 'Medicine Show'...it always is good to hear old early 80s band still kicking ass as old guys in the 2000s...

So my wife stops by the local Grocery Outlet Bargain Market today, texts me to ask if I want a 6pack of a Ninkasi hazy because she somehow saw it’s brewed in Eugene and our nephew goes to UofO and that clicked for her… I said sure how much is it, she says $8. I said why not, and didn’t ask any additional questions because she doesn’t know anything about beer and if I pushed it she’d just say forget it and I’d get no beer.
So on the way home she texts me again and says the cans are kindof big, so I thought Sweet, maybe they’re pint-sized and they’re doing sixers of those like Pizza Port. She gets home and I see that not only is it actually an 8% double, but these are actually 19.2oz cans.
So now I have about 120oz of DIPA for the princely sum of $8  And it’s better than I expected (not usually a huge double fan)
