Red Sweater IPA

 

German style Pils from Everywhere . Nice hop bitterness more than style . Sweet malts in finish. CO 10/16.

 

Continuing on the BA zoom. I'm going to be slammed soon at this rate. 8/29/2018 oddside cap de night. There is basically no cinnamon left. Low bourbon barrel and vanilla notes. Very smooth and not boozy for 12%.

The only good beer in the TexHex collection.. The rest are serviceable but just barely..
This one is really malty with good bitterness..
Fairly heavily hopped with Pine and citrus notes,but without 'fruit flavors'(Idaho 7 and Citra hops)which I find refreshing considering trends..

 

Giving this a spin. I figured with a gold medal in the World Beer Cup it would be formidable, but it’s a bit ho hum. It looks great and the mouthfeel is amazing, but the aroma and flavor isn’t any better than other N.A. lagers I have had.

Moved on to Orin from Half Acre. Bourbon and Brandy Barrel Aged Strong Ale. Once this hits room temperature, it becomes a delicious sipper. The brandy characteristics really elevate this one quite nicely. Might have to go searching for another 2 pack to squirrel away. Cheers all.
