The Truth from Flying Dog - it always surprises me from these guys... it's a BIG hop bomb but great balance on par with Six Point Resin and Bell's Two Hearted.. imho. Cheers!

Surly Abrasive Ale (9.2% best by 2/2026): A West-Coast IPA from Minnesota with flavors of earthy orange, toasted caramel, and bitter pine.

For this cloudy, cold November day this Surly Ale is drinking perfectly. My only qualm is the best-by rather than the actual canning date. This is probably going to be my new go-to fall IPA. I'm going to pick up more. Surprised I haven't seen as many folks drinking this as well. This would be a trending beer easily if I had any say.

 

IU got lucky today. Roxanne, not so lucky. She's been struggling for the last few months with tumors bulging out of her side, labored breathing, trouble walking, and never looks comfortable anymore. We've done all we can with Vet visits and there's nothing more we can do, she hasn't been herself for a long time. The Vet is coming to our house within the hour and this is a decision we haven't taken lightly. We got her from the rescue shelter and she's been treated like a queen as part of our family. We've been spending alot of time with her today but reality is starting to settle in. (Her brother is in the background, he senses things aren't right.)



Was going to save this for a bottle share and decided against. Raising this glass to Roxxy.
