What beer are you drinking now? #4780

Good afternoon BAdvocates. Cold, rainy day here. Time to stay inside and drink a beer! I’m finding this Payette Brewing Crisp Heir Pilsner to be a fairly tasty brew so far.

Aside from my hatred of nitro-anything, and adjuncts in stouts... it held up well haha.

Strata-Fresh-Hopped Head Hunters - Cheers!!

 

1) Toppling Goliath Mosaic Mamba (8.5% 9/30/25): A NEIPA from Iowa with Mosaic and Galaxy for flavors of orange, melon, and mango. Smooth.
versus
2) Drekker Metaphase (8.2% No canning date): A NEIPA from North Dakota with Citra & Nelson Sauvin for flavors of lemon and orange citrus, green citrus, grape, guava, and juicy pine. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Toppling Goliath vs Drekker IPA Battle. Repeating another classic. First is Toppling Goliath Mosaic Mamba. Mosaic and Galaxy here for a nice tropical balance of tropical berries, citrus, and floral notes. Clean for the ABV. Amazing.
Next is Drekker Metaphase. Citra and Nelson for bright vinous flavors. This is an absolute banger. Both are somewhere near two months. I think I prefer Metaphase when fresh, but Toppling Goliath is standing up better with time.
Winner: Toppling Goliath Mosaic Mamba

I rarely find that one in Richmond but I have had it before. It is an outstanding IPA.
