Al's of Hampden / Pizza Boy Brewing - Sunny Side Up - Little Amps! (Bourbon Barrel Aged)
This is the 2024 Bourbon Barrel Aged version, Double Oatmeal Coffee Stout variant coming in at 11.6% ABV. It's almost jet black with a thick mouthfeel and surprisingly smooth carbonation. It's definitely sweet, but also balanced with nice bourbon and woody flavors. Solid offering.

Today, it's very beautiful yet again, out here in McGregor, and both cats Gracie and Sundae sprung to action to help me investigate my three new beers. First for today, it's my twelfth of Oakville, Ontario's Cameron's Brewing Company--their 7% Game Theory New Age IPA. It's shown, poured, bookending articles on the cult classics The Trip (Roger Corman, 1967) and Two-Lane Blacktop (Monte Hellman, 1971), with purely abstract rationales...



Next, it's my thirteenth brew by Hamilton, Ontario's Collective Arts Brewing--#32 in their Sour Series, their 6.1% Orange Creamsicle Sour...

Finally, it's my twelfth from Blyth, Ontario's Cowbell Brewing Co.--their 6.8% Mint Chocolate Chip Nitro Stout...

All three beers are shown bookending articles on the cult classics Performance (Nicolas Roeg & Donald Cammell, 1970) and Repo Man (Alex Cox, 1984), for no decent reason...



Tomorrow: Three more new beers to investigate, from the following breweries:
--Couchiching Craft Brewing Co. (Orillia, Ontario; my third of their offerings);
--Craft Heads Brewing Co. (Windsor, Ontario; my fourteenth); and
--Creemore Springs (Creemore, Ontario; my fifth)...
