Been awhile since I had a Wheat Beer that i liked. But this is really good.

Been away from my cellar this week, so I'm opening this on my twins' bdays.



2008 is still the best vintage.

 

Drinking a bottle of Avery Brewing The Czar Imperial Stout. Very tasty.

 

Just polished off a bottle of Enjoy By 12.21.12 and watching Gold Rush Alaska...Rrrrrghhhh. Man time! Cheers!

 

Finally tried it yesterday for the first time. I agree, very tasty.

Couple of observations this evening:

1) Seems like there's an unreasonable number of people drinking Juicy this evening. And I am supremely jealous of all of them. Funky saison? Yes please. Southern Hemisphere hops? Yes please. Shaun Hill's expertise? ************.

2) Couple of people doing some nice running tomorrow in the A.M.; good for you, dudes. I only ran a mile today and got in half of a h.i.i.t. workout before my right shin started giving me problems, and I'm dying to get in a good, long, problem-free run soon.

3) This Expedition Stout is (somewhat unexpectedly) pretty damn awesome. Like, I figured it would be solid, but this is just great, and definitely fantastic in some respects. Good on ya, Bell's—y'all seem to know what you're doing.

 

Loving this.

 

I didn't know what this was until I found it hiding at the bottom of the cooler at my local liquor store. I saw how highly rated it was and took the chance of buying it even though it surely was sitting there for over a year since it's vintage 2011. Tastes great, though! Half-empty with no head because I forgot to take the picture after the initial pour. Is pairing great with some havarti cheese. Cheers!

It was alright...

 

From the 1/18/12 batch and tasting pretty darn good now. Don't mind it fresh, but what a difference almost a year makes. Glad I still have another 4 or 5 stashed away, going to have to pick up a 6er or two of the latest batch and hide them along with those.
