What beer are you drinking now? #4831

Digging into the cellar a bit for a 2022 Whistle Monkee from the brewery that is turning 30 this year. I couldn't recall if I enjoyed it or not, and looking up my rating, I see I didn't review it. So I will do so now.


Briefly, I am enjoying the slight bite of whiskey that is coming through after these few years in the beer fridge.

It's January 10, and I was outside riding my bike at 9 am in shorts and short sleeves. Very weird. It may get up to 80 this afternoon. After the ride I stopped by my favorite barbecue stand for a pulled pork sandwich which I am enjoying with a Sierra Nevada Celebration.

The classic Saint Arnold Elissa IPA in the glass.

The masterpiece that is Billy Harper's Capra Black. One of the top three Houston musicians IMO.

Trappistes Rochefort 8 from Brasserie de Rochefort

 

Bright pink head on this cherry lambic, reminds me of yoplait cherry yogurt in terms of flavor. Quite nice if you want something a little different, also looking forward to the raspberry lambic I have in the fridge later too.

What a filthy weather day: Rainy and raw. What could possibly cause us to visit Historic Cold Spring Village in Cape May on a day like this? Lipman Lichtenhainer at Cold Spring Brewery! I’ve never seen this style at a brewery before and I’m pleasantly surprised. Tart, sour lemon with a touch of woodsmoke. It would be great in the summer. Thanks, @Todd, for adding the style.
