1) Kettlehead Quest (8.0% no canning date): A NEIPA from New Hampshire with flavors of mango, peach, and pineapple
versus
2) Mortalis Yakima Blend (8.0% no canning date): A NEIPA from NY with Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe for flavors of orange, grapefruit rind, smooth peach. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Happy Saturday BeerAdvocates. Got a couple of new IPA shipments in this weekend. A Kettlehead versus Mortalis IPA Battle. Been seeing @SawDog505 and @tekstr1der so had to try some Kettlehead. First try from them. This doesn't have the hops listed, but listed for mango, peach, and pineapple flavors. I'm getting more orange, tangerine, peach, earthy pine and melon. Somewhat earthy and mild bitter pine component. It's rounded and excellent.
Next is Mortalis Yakima blend. I already know this one is good. Similar, but more bright and juicy pineapple and mango. Overall, I'm thankful that via the internet I can get the best IPAs from all over the country and do some epic beer battles.
Winner: Mortalis Yakima Blend

 

Shifting back and forth from dark beers to light ones. Hoping all of the teams you're routing for do well. I have no dog in the fight. Will be watching the NFC north battle.

 

I made sure to bring back some great beers from Gusto and I really want to stop there again!
