    Terrible Tuesday when the true alcoholics come out. (I'm not proud)
    This from Fat Orange Cat - I had one I loved but he passed suddenly about a year ago - TDH -TIPA. Ah yes that wondrous concoction where they jam as much as they can into one beer.:grimacing:.. tastes fking good though :sunglasses:[IMG]

    Damn it is cold out! Perfect weather though for a stout.

    It’s COLD here in Northern Indiana, so some tropical juice to chase away the chill. Loads of mango, papaya, and ripe oranges in this hazy from the best in the business, IMHO. Absolutely love it.

    Vintage 2024 Bigfoot is still awesome. No sign of 2026 yet but I’m hoping I do soon. Cheers:beer:

    Troegs Nugget Nectar

    Deep amber glow with that unmistakable Nugget Nectar warmth. Sticky resinous hop aroma right out of the glass with orange peel pine and a touch of caramelized malt underneath. On the sip it is balanced and expressive with that classic East Coast hop bite softened by a sturdy malt backbone. Still one of those beers that instantly reminds me why this release became a seasonal ritual in the first place.

    Macro shot because that lacing and hop oil shimmer deserved it.

    Murphy's Irish Stout. Bought it at Publix for cheaper than the Guinness (which was on sale). Score. I prefer it to Guinness and I can always get a Guinness. Never really go wrong with either.

    Mott the Lesser, Tributary Brewing (Kittery Maine)

    A wonderful barrel aged Russian imperial stout from Tributary. On draft at Novare Res in Portland Maine.

    Look is dark chocolate brown to black, depending on the light.

    Smell draws you in with rich chocolate notes. Some light cherry brandy notes in the bs ground. The smell calls to you.

    Taste is a bit lighter than expected. You’d think it would be syrupy but it isn’t. More subtle, balanced flavors, a little surprising for something aged in bourbon and gin barrels. A little ‘alcohol’ presence.

    Feel is a bit lighter than expected as well. A little more effervescent than expected for a stout. Not at all cloying.

    Overall perfect for a chilly 14 degree night in Portland. Goes great with food.

    That was an excellent pic (among all your others) of all the Spurs club banners you posted the other night. Thanks for that! And also, I'm glad you sampled some proper football culture in your travels, haha!! jk!!!

    Another big beer for #2, this is magnificent, IMHO. Lots of dark chocolate, roasty coffee, and coconut. I need more of this.

    Playing clean-up with last night's impromptu National Championship party with my beer bro's @Knapp85 and @PhineasMcClintock !! Wax Wing Brewing Double Barrel Bere: 2 English 'Barley, while watching some Big10 hoops against Michigan. I swear, they need to call the football team in, they could probably do a better job. :rolling_eyes: 13 minutes in, we're 15 down, only scored 13 points, and our star starter had two fouls in less than two minutes after the game started. Pretty anticlimactic compared to last night. :no_mouth:

    Prost! :nerd::beers:!!
