Trying to get a few more cellar reviews so I can also share these beers next month in the Cellaruary thread. This one a rare big drop off since my last cellar review of the same vintage in August 2024.

    Revolution V. S. O. J. (Very Special Old Jacket) (Canned June 29, 2021)

Full cellar review take linked here. Bottom line, the last 18 months resulted in a big drop off in complexity and enjoyment. Pretty muddled with stale notes. Glad only one more remains in the cellar.

Okay - I am officially done clearing the snow - at least for now. That was a ton of work, relaxing with a SN Pils which is really hitting the sweet spot.

Good day BAs! Thanks @ChicagoJ for opening the bar! And @tolar111, since you were in my back yard, you should have stopped in for a brew, besides beating me to Ozzy.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Aroma – 3.5 – Little, some chocolate. No coffee, almond, or vanilla. No alcohol (11.5% ABV, as marked on the label).
Flavor – 3.5 – It begins with slight malt bitterness and weak chocolate. No coffee or vanilla, slight hint of almond. No hops. No alcohol. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Moderate gastric warming. Ends slightly dry.

Flight is delayed at O’Hare, time for a beer! The fact that Anti-Hero from Revolution is the complimentary beer in the Admiral’s Club is ….. astounding. Absolutely love this impeccable WCIPA.

Happy frosty Monday BAs....the last one of "dry AF January"....really tired of winter here....did not get to my 93 year old mom's for lunch yesterday, due to the snowstorm, but will try to plow through today in a little while.....fun fun!

Looking forward to a "real" beer starting next Sunday Feb 1, but this one is not a bad sub in the meantime.....

and RIP @cavedave sad to learn of his passing - one of the "good ones" on BA for many years!

Whoa one side of my family is from Lowville so I know these winters very well especially since we also made maple syrup for over 60 years. Now my other extended family still makes maple during the season!

I always tell people that Tug Hill is truly on par with some the best snowfall in Northern New York and further up.

    Cheers!

Wasn't planning on a beer yet, but the universe had other plans. I was bringing beer in from the garage so they don't freeze, then I began snapping them off their 4 pack holders, when the tab on this can got pulled somehow spraying me right in the mug with DIPA. A few F words later, I am now drinking beer :grin:

New Trail Brewing Company - Beneath the Moon’s Shadow
9.5% ABV Imperial Stout with Coffee. Collaboration with Old Thunder Brewing Company and brewed with Alabaster coffee beans. It's a decent imperial stout with coffee, but not one of my favorites. Glad that I was able to try this one. It hides the 9.5% ABV very well.
