Good morning BAs! Glad someone else started this.

Enjoying some breakfast, and juice is supposed to go well with breakfast, right?

Yes, that's the rest of my Lindemans from last night. It's a very refreshing sipper to go with breakfast. I think I'll reverse the order today and do coffee second.

Enjoy the day off, those of us who have it. And celebrate...a president, I guess?

@Shroud0fdoom I didn't forget you last night; I just ran out of beer. Here's some more Florida death metal for you (can't believe this band is still around and going strong).

    Cheers!

Nothing like a citrusy DIPA with breakfast to get this snow day started off right!!!

Knee Deep Simtra 3X-IPA. Not the best triple ipa that i've had. But really smooth for a 11.25ABV.

Oppigårds Amarillo (5.9%). A Swedish pale ale single hopped with Amarillo. It's a really nice one and it holds its own against the imported American pale ales I think. Fragrantly citrusy hoppy nose and taste with 44IBUs that definitely make themselves known, just the way I like it.

There's a hundred different beers in the beer aisle, there's a hundred different cereals in the cereal aisle. Coincidence? I think not. My new hobby - beer and cereal pairing exclusively for WBAYDN. :grinning:

Here is where most Swedish craft beers start to lose ground, at above 6% or so Swedish craft beers start to get sweet and a bit cloying, but not Torpedo. It remains drinkable and balanced, on the side of hoppy. Whilst I think there are several Swedish pale ales that are truly excellent, I think the US delivers the best IPAs as far as I'm concerned.

Watching some curling action from earlier this morning. Norway, Great Britain, and China are fighting for the last two spots to the knock out round, and these last matches are both coming down to the wire. Also got the live stream on for the last run of the two man bobsled.

Oh yeah and I'm drinking this delicious coffee stout from Short's

One of the Finnish macro lager brands available in Sweden. It's really not good imo, it's way too sweet. This is the mass-market "Budweiser" of Finland, and it's too sweet, just like Budweiser (although Budweiser is less sweet since it's watered down). I'm pretty sure most Swedes a hundred years ago, and beyond, would have thought that this beer was well balanced between malty sweetness and a mellow bitterness (21IBU) for their taste but for me as a modern beer drinker it's way too sweet. Tastes have definitely changed.
