1) Phase Three Perpetual Sounds (7.7% canned 12/8/25): A NEIPA from Chicago with Mosaic and Amarillo for flavors of fruity blueberry tea, peachy grapefruit.
versus
2) The Veil whiteferrari (8.0% canned 12/14/25): A NEIPA from Virginia with Citra and Galaxy for flavors of orange, pineapple, melon. (Mismatched the two blind)

Phase Three versus The Veil IPA Battle. First is Phase Three Perpetual Sounds, Mosaic and Amarillo. Fantastic orange and stonefruit from Amarillo mix with tropical blueberry tea from the Mosaic. Next is The Veil whiteferrari, rated World-Class on BeerAdvocate. Citra and Galaxy. A bit more piney and resinous with a bite, but nice orange and grapefruit flavors. Not quite as smooth or tropical, nor World-Class, but still nice. On the other side, another top of the game Phase Three IPA.
Winner: Phase Three Perpetual Sounds

One of my favorite beers, though it’s no trouble for me to walk, run, bike, drive to the brewery

 

Tried out Mothership Brewing in Burlington. They used to host (?) Zero Gravity until it took off and bought its own space and brewery capa7 (ie: magic Hat). anyway, good solid beer, good pizza, cozy on a cold Burlington night (-4 predicted)

 

Given that the temperature is headed for single digits, I thought a stout or brown ale would be in order. I haven’t had this one in quite a while.
