Cask ale with brunch at Good Word Brewing in Duluth, GA. Quantum Immortality English style Porter 4%. Toasted malt, caramel, and nutty with a low bitterness. Creamy smooth moutfeel with excellent head retention. This will just about break you from drinking porter any other way.

Wow! That is a rare beer. Lol, glad you lived to tell about it!

 

This one was a surprise to me but not sure why because GWB Helles is my favorite local beer. This is Good Ghost Export Helles 6%.
Bready, spicy, and with a little more bitterness than your typical Helles. Like it. Especially in a .5L!

I had the whole series of those beers...thanks for the blast from the past

On a related note, I never went to Rivertown after they moved to Monroe, but I was still a little bummed when they closed in 2022.

 

Less than two ounces left even after time taken to write the review and NBW treatment (linked here). This is a classic Midwest IPA with C Hops and C Malts (Caramel flavor), though executed better than most. Haven't bought much if any Half Acre since Mixed Fermentation Master Lee McComb's program ended after they closed Mayor @eppCOS 's and Keeping Together Averie Swanson's Lincoln Ave space. Averie's Keeping Together Santa Fe full opening (they are soft open now) is slated for Saturday March 21!

Anyhow, check this out if you want an old school Midwest IPA packed with good flavor and vibes.
