What beer are you drinking now? #4877

1) Other Half Ticker Shock (8.5% canned 12/29/25): A NEIPA from NY with Citra, Strata, Mosaic, Nelson with flavors of mango, mandarin, strawberry, white whine, grapefruit.
versus
2) Other Half Stacks On Stacks (8.5% canned12/22/25): A NEIPA from NY with Riwaka, Motueka, Nelson for flavors of passionfruit, white grape, gooseberry, stonefruit, lemon zest. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Other Half IPA Battle. First is Ticker Shock. My first try at this. Nice Citra Mosaic base plus some Nelson and Strata. The Mosaic and Nelson give it a white grape and tropical berry profile. The Strata adds a definite pink grapefruit and mango flavor.
Next is Stacks On Stacks with a Southern Hemisphere hop combination of Riwaka, Motueka, Nelson. A definite interesting flavor profile upfront of lemon/lime, guava, gooseberry, and white grape. Zesty green Pacific fruits plus white grape and berries.
Tough call on a winner here, but I am partial to Southern Hemisphere hop flavors.
Winner: Other Half Stacks on Stacks

Stone Imperial Stout (10.5% canned 10/2024): An American Imperial Stout from California with flavors of dark cocoa, rich chocolate, espresso and bitter roast.

Crosspost Celluary BeerAdvocates. Approaching the 18 month mark. Still drinking roasted, but not quite as bitter as initially. The complexity of flavors is evolving nicely. Have two more. Will probably drink one more this year and age the other until 2027. If history holds, they are due to release another version of this in the fall.

 

I grabbed a 12 pack of those today. I like the 4 packs, but they all dated back to last November. For some odd reason, all of a sudden I can't find them fresh. The 12 pack was dated 1/13/2026 I believe. Cheers, great beer!

 

I got it at the brewery in Dublin. I agree that it looks good, and it's nice also to drink from. Cheers!

Restock today of Elevated . CO 02/10. A sunny warm day today on the patio. Will cook some sesame chicken later for dinner . Also hard to beat this WCIPA @ $10.27 a 4PK.
