A close friend of mine came over last night specifically for beers as we do once in a while. We cracked opened a Zombie Dust, Lawson's Double Sunshine, Heady Topper, FFF Alpha King, and Tired Hands Alien Church IPA (growler). The HT and DS were obtained the same weekend about 2 weeks ago (thanks to @dspinler). ZD was 1/31, Alpha King was a couple weeks older than ZD, and Alien Church was filled 2/15.

Man, I have had Heady before, but last night was one of the freshest times I've had it and it was the best that I remember. The DS, as ridiculously hard as it is to get and an incredible DIPA, is still 2nd to Heady. It's my 2nd time having the DS as well. ZD was a distance 3rd, and Alpha King was not anywhere respectable in that mix. What was stunningly surprising for us was that we BOTH loved Alien Church the most out of them all. Mind you I opened that growler 2 days before, had 1 glass, closed it....and still it was incredibly delicious 2 nights later albeit without much carbonation. While you just cannot get that kind of aroma out of cans and bottles, the Alien Church was out of this world (no pun intended) delicious and drinkability is unmatched. We actually drank it first AND last so it wasn't the order of things.

I know that it's a mix of DIPA/IPA/PA, but that was the conclusion we agreed on in term of what we enjoyed in this sitting.

After taking two hours to get out of my driveway, and finally getting to work, Enbridge decided to shut the whole place down because of so much snow.

This is honestly one of the best stouts I have had. Well it better be for the price.

Thought I would start this snowy freezing morning with a roasty beverage known as Rainwater Oak Aged Stout from Brau Brothers bottled in late 2009.

Good morning BA's and Happy Friday!

Finishing up my last bottle of this from the winter variety pack. I'm disappointed the new variety pack doesn't include any. It really is a very well done DIPA.

No pic but last night I was able to enjoy sexualy chocolate and imperial biscotti break on tap. Both were a chocolaty treat. Break on tap was just fantastic.
