What beer are you drinking now? #4891

Central Waters Brewer's Reserve Bourbon Barrel Scotch Ale, 12% ABV. I rated this 4.31 ten years ago when I was a craft newbie. I later did my first side-by-side with this beer and a Backwood Bastard, and picked this one as the winner.

Another sign of the pending apocalypse / Armageddon: drinking the family default, Genny Cream Ale. Most of the family is dead, but that’s how it goes. If I had a Hamm’s, I’d do a head-to-head comparison. Yellow beers! Yeah, no. Not today, Satan. Not today.

Thanks Bob!! I had to do something with the leftover chicken and I was just in the mood for some soup today - as you mentioned, nothing better anytime! And so now I have leftover soup for lunches the rest of the week. Cheers!!

Not really, it was pretty mellow - and the chicken was really tender. I did peel off most of the skin first so that probably kept it from getting too smoky.

 

I don't know about the beer, but that's a fun bottle!

 

Is the version sold in Canada brewed locally (or in the US)? Or is it imported from Wales? I saw some cans the other day in BC but forgot to check.

Clever Girl. An IPA brewed by Triple Crossing. Got this four pack at a local grocery store. Hopefully, they will continue to carry it.
