I can listen to podcasts just fine, because generally it’s not a big deal to drift in and out of those … and often, two people bantering is easier for me to pay attention to. On the other hand, Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History is basically an audiobook, and those shows are great, so maybe I’ll try listening to some thicc history tome someday

Yea ADHD is a blessing and a curse. I need to have multiple senses satisfied at all times(usually playing chess or browsing reddit), so even if I can't be hyper focused on a book like I do reading a hard copy, I can still get the gist of the book enough to understand how I feel about it. 4.75-5 star books are must buys from Thriftbooks. Also great for all the 1000 page monsters on history/biography, I usually use hard copies for reference/index, or reading individual chapters. I deep dive into topics I remember to engrain people and place pictures into my memory later on. I have Pillars of the Earth on my loan from the library, 41 hours. Ken Follett is a world class Historical Fiction writer. Also 2 books from Will Durant: The Age of Voltaire(43 hours) and The Life of Greece(33 hours). I am super stoked to dive into those. Same with Five Families by Selwyn Raab about the Mafia in NYC(34 hours) :beers:

10/31/2019 canned Revolution Straight Jacket. Incredible rich toffee and bourbon presence and balance with dark fruits in the back. Still a bit boozy but smooth. Very complex. The cans have always held up with age.

I hear that . I think it was because i was in the car and could only drive . my concentration had more focus on the book and 2nd language tapes while driving, and not much traffic at 5am on I-75.

Still clearing, I’m sure I will be bummed come late fall-winter but I’m trying hard to clear it all out.
On the open this filled the room with caramel, taste follows along with bitter hops. Just a great beer.

    Enjoy

One more for tonight, A Trio Extra Stout. I'll have this in a st. Bernardus goblet.
I need to figure out where to store pictures with a URL so I can post images as well.

I prefer reading books (cause i interpret from reading the words what i think) The tapes would have many different voices interpreting the authors thoughts, that would change the directive to me. I did enjoy listening to them in the AM.
