You might be right...I might give it a read sometime.

 

I believe this is the last one of these .. I thought about buying more, but the date on the boxes was August 9, 2025 so I didn't buy it. That's the same date as this can actually and this tastes fine.

 

These radishes are growing faster than rabbits...

1) Fair State Black Pils (4.9%): A German Dark Lager from Minnesota with flavors of dark grains, bittersweet cocoa and earthy notes. Bitter and roasted.
versus
2) Little Thistle Schwarzenlager (5.0%): A German Schwarzbier from Minnesota with flavors of cocoa, roast, and dark malts. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Dark Lager Battle. First is Fair State. Dark grains, earthy, and bitter. One of my favorite dark lagers this past year.
Next is Little Thistle Schwarzenlager. This won bronze in the style in GABF one year. More similar than I expected. Slightly more dark chocolate and roasted notes, but similar. I think there's some freshness bias, but today I'm picking Little Thistle.
Winner: Little Thistle Schwarzenlager

 

Celebrating round 2. Amazing how well this holds up!
Some of the local does came round my place for breakfast. Next up on the wildlife list will be the Bears, and not the Chicago varitety.

Not a bad option at all.

 

Central Waters Brewer's Reserve Single Barrel Imperial Stout, 11.8% ABV. I rated this 4.44 a year ago. This hasn't degraded at all.
