    ...I had a term for sax players like Sanders: honk and squonk...and I love Sander's melodic character (I'm thinking of Sander's video of him playing 'Kazuko' in a tunnel with whatever the other guy is playing - beautiful, mysterious, peaceful), but the dude knew how to rip the notes outta his sax, just like a good electric guitar player can squeeze and strangle feedback notes out of their guitar (think ala Fripp or Snowy White from Eno's 'Baby's On Fire')...yes, it was a good day when JC added Sanders to his lineup...both passionate players that let things rip, let things flow...

    Just cracked open a Chewbocka, a Bock from Grist Iron Brewing in the thriving metropolis of Burdett NY (home of Chargin' Charlie Ciprich). A lot darker than most Bocks and with a notable roast component. It's a good beer.
