Definitely my closer for the evening - La Fin Du Monde. Anybody still watch Bar Rescue with Jon Taffer? I find the guy really annoying to watch these days - I think it's all a bunch of scripted BS. What's your take on it?

Me and my wife were friends with a set of twins who lived a block away.
They had the kitchen redone which did come out nice. But in the before video the crew made a bit of a mess to make the place look disheveled and in major need.
So unfortunately it may not be scripted necessarily but its not authentic either

My wife and I used to watch this years ago. I remember finding it entertaining, but I’m sure I would hate actually meeting him . I haven’t seen recent ones but like … it has to be scripted, right? At least to a certain extent … they remodel entire business in 2 days for chrissakes!

I've read that their "remodel" is done really cheap with low quality components. But the story is always the same - he comes in and yells at everyone, then mellows out a bit, then overnight everyone suddenly knows how to make drinks and run the business, and then they have a successful "reopening". I'm not buying it any more. I used to like watching it, but I think John Taffer has turned it into product now.

 

Although we’re starting to get some sunnier weather, it’s never the wrong time to cuddle up with a kitten and a stout! Ladd & Lass Windbreaker Weather.

Back home from the motherland and after a 10-hour drive today I earned this first one to decompress (canned 10 days ago). Stopped in Cincy for more of this shah on the way home today.
