#2 on the clock. Mets hardball. See if this team can get it together,

 

1) Mortalis Ares Nelson (8.0% no canning date): A NEIPA from NY with Citra, Mosaic, Nelson for flavors of orange, tropical grape, blueberries, melon, and mango
versus
2) Mortalis Mors Communis (8.0% canned canned 1/12/26): A NEIPA from NY with Citra, Nectaron, Nelson for flavors of dank citrus, pineapple, peach, earthy cannabis and melon. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Mortalis IPA Battle both featuring Citra and Nelson.. First is Ares Nelson. Orange, pineapple, sweet grape and berries. Leans sweet but amazing flavors.
Next is Mors Communis, my first try at this. Aroma right off the pour is dank and cannabis notes, resinous stonefruit. Not quite what I expected. Though as it sits, more pineapple and peach flavors develop and the dankness mellows out. Still Ares Nelson was an easy choice here.
Winner: Mortalis Ares Nelson

Back to the Village Idiot pub for an Extra Extra Juicy Bits from Weldwerks brewing out of Colorado(excellent) and the wife has a Cherry Chocolate Oblivion from the Fat Donkey Nextdoor. Cheers!!

 

This is a tasty beer. Glad I was able to get it.

 

Good ol' Schmidt I might know a source for some Schlitz, which I think will be more difficult to find sooner than later. Cheers!

It was a revelation to me!

 

Just finished aerating the lawn. Nothing really hard about it except sitting on the tractor for 90+ minutes. Which as you get older, sitting still for that long is a chore in itself, especially when you’re done. Anyway, entitled me feels like I deserve a beer. Erdinger Lager. Cheers!
