I had to show Mrs. CC the pic of Max resting elbows on the bar - she got a kick out of him, very cute!
Getting into Juicy Axe from Weldwerks and Fidens, both very good IPA breweries and this one does not disappoint. Looking at record setting temps in the 80's just south of Asheville tomorrow.
    Cheers!

    1) Knotted Root Quite Profound (8.0% canned 2/17/26): A NEIPA from Colorado with Motueka for flavors of orange, lime, pineapple, tropical blueberry.
    versus
    2) Mortalis Gaia Motueka (8.0% canned 2/9/26): A NEIPA from NY with Citra, Mosaic, Motueka for flavors of orange, pineapple, tropical mango. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Knotted Root versus Mortalis IPA Battle feat. Motueka. First is Knotted Root. My first try at this one. Orange, green lime, pineapple, tropical blueberries. Light floral notes. Tropical and smooth. Hides the sweetness and alcohol. Incredible complexity.
Next is Mortalis. Sweet orange, pineapple, the works. Drinks very nicely, but shows the alcohol and sweetness a bit. Not as smooth.
Very impressed with this Knotted Root and possibly the best showcase of sole Motueka I've had.
    Winner: Knotted Root Quite Profound

Hop Butcher Impossible Bottle (8.5% canned 3/17/26):
A NEIPA from Chicago with Peacharine, Citra, Cascade, Riwaka, Simcoe for flavors of orange, creamy peach, pineapple slurry.

Hop Butcher in a collab with RAR Brewing. This has Citra orange, creamy peach from Peacharine, and then pineapple from the Riwaka. Hides the alcohol and sweetness well. This is incredibly smooth and drinkable. Wasn't my favorite hop combination so I didn't expect much, but this surprised me.
