What beer are you drinking now? #4942

I always enjoy a few of these every year if they turn up, and this one is super fresh. M-43 Tart Strawberry, from Old Mation Brewing Company, canned 4/15. A NE Style IPA with Strawberries and Double Dry Hopped with Citra, Amarillo & Simcoe. Tasty stuff, BA. Happy Friday, all!

Just got back from late lunch fish fry. it’s an all you can eat. On the Patio RN looking at the odds and positioning for bets on Kentucky Derby.

 

One of the better low carb beers in my opinion although I have tried only a few.

Back relaxing on the evening. I finished the Chess book and now I am halfway through How Propaganda Works by Jason Stanley: 3.75/5. Very enjoyable, but not what I expected. It's mainly a political philosophy book for propaganda used in liberal democracy and mainly focusing on US history. A lot of references to Plato's The Republic. A bit of repeating the same things over and over to drive a point, such as "reasonableness of public reason" so it's a bit of a challenging listen at times. But interesting nonetheless. His other political books were a lot more engaging. Not much new information to me.

3/20/2026 Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing. Great hazy IPA as always. Big Citra, Comet, Simcoe, El Dorado, and Mosaic juiciness with a balanced biscuit malt backbone. Light-medium piney drying bitterness. Nicely soft and smooth drinking.

Highland Park Brewing Comfortable Silence. First time with a Woodinville bourbon barrel aged drink. Very nice. Bright, but hefty. Wallops bigger than its already big 12%, but at an ease of drinkability like a 7%er.

 

Moving on…I’ve brought in a few beers…now, a Tropicalia:



A darn tasty beer that doesn’t distro to FL or WV. Cheers y’all!
