The Blonde Ale is nice, probably my favorite so far. Quite a bit of haze, but it's an easy drinking 6%er.

Tree House - Very DDDoublegangerrr this morning as I wind down my recent stash. Going to have to make another fresh beer run soon. This is a really great beer, glad I got a chance to try this. Last can dated 4/3 about a month ago and still drinking really well with rich ripe tropical stone fruit and citrus, huge flavors of peach, sweet mango, mangosteen, pineapple, papaya, cantaloupe melon, orange citrus, grapefruit, a touch of light toasty caramelized malt and dank earthy herbal grassy floral pine. Full bodied with a thick smoothie-like mouthfeel, creamy with moderate carbonation. A pretty powerful triple IPA at 9.2% abv. Cheers everyone!

Happy Friday again BA. Slept good this morning after being up all night. Almost done with another book. The Immortal Game by David Shenk: 4.25/5 fantastic book about chess history. Easy reading.

Me and Julia came to kiosco for Mexican at lunch once again. I am starting with a large wicked weed Pernicious. Super fresh and dank hops as usual.

It is pouring down rain today...that means I'm not going anywhere, and Moe doesn't want anything to do with going outside ha.

So its a jazz day and opened Alstadt's Vienna Lager.

Review for Altstadt Vienna Lager...

Pours a dark reddish/orange color. A white head tries to rise to about two fingers. Though that recedes rather quickly to a ring. Some spotty and filmy lace left behind.
Aroma is toasted malts and bread. Cereal grains, and a dusty, doughty yeast cake aroma.
Taste wise, follows the nose, with toasted malts and cereal grains. I would like a more nuanced malt character especially for the style.
A medium body and moderate carbonation. That becomes clean and smooth. The sum is greater than the parts here, as this is enjoyable to drink.

I love Vienna malts, and the Vienna Lager style in general. This is a nice, but not exceptional version of the style. For me the malt character should be more nuanced, as is, just kind of average. Which isn't bad at all, actually still very enjoyable to drink. Just a bit more malty complexity would make this excellent for me though.
