    Good morning, BeerAdvocate!

Starting this one a bit early as I'm on the Megastar right NOW heading to Tallinn for the day. Yep, I'm drinking a Baltic Porter on the Baltic Sea! And it's delicious!

    Have a great Saturday, everyone!

I was beginning to really enjoy my daily Ohioan beers, but this is the final one from the haul @Blogjackets graciously sent my way. Alas! All good things come to an end.

Thanks once again for everything, man!

Have a good Saturday. A well deserved beer after a week of site updates Todd. Very noticeable snappy response of site. :beers:

Had a chill night after the Mexican lunch yesterday. I finished How Propaganda Works by Jason Stanley at 11PM. Very heavy philosophy book. I started reading stuff from Plato and Nietzsche this year so I'll keep trying out more. Got The Story of Philosophy by Will Durant on my loan list on Libby. Gotta read more about Epistemology. Next up is Black Ops by WEB Griffin. I haven't read a book from him since The Vigilantes 3 years ago, which I did not like. His son didn't co-write this one so it'll probably be great. He's kind of like Clancy on writing for historical fiction but nobody really talks about him.

So we watched Project Hail Mary earlier this morning. Easily a 9-9.5/10 movie. I loved the book and this was intense acting, I got emotional. Followed the book super close and the scenes looked exactly like I imagined them in the book, but also had a few added scenes to spice it up a bit. Cats have been cute, half the time running all over the house, other half they are sleeping on the couch :joy: The $12 192kHz DAC for my 20 year old Z-2300 speakers is my budget home theater experience. THX certified. Amazing bass response. I need to just get a remote controlled outlet device, because since Optical is always on, you can't mute the TV with the remote. I can't stand listening to commercials for Pluto TV.

3/20/2026 Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing. Great hazy IPA as always. Big Citra, Comet, Simcoe, El Dorado, and Mosaic juiciness with a balanced biscuit malt backbone. Light-medium piney drying bitterness. Nicely soft and smooth drinking. Walmart always has fresh beer from Mills River, good rotation. They were out of 12 packs of Voodoo Rangers this time, so naturally I got this after searching the back of the shelf for the freshest dating.

    Cheers

    G'day all!

I'm sipping on my other can of 2025 Bhavana Trace, an Imperial Oatmeal Stout. Liking it more this time around. Recycled pic.

    Prost!

Oh yeah, it will go fine with a pot full of curry.
