@beerloserLI dropping some knowledge on you playa :sunglasses:
Coors Banquet earned its iconic nickname in the late 1800s from local Colorado miners. After grueling shifts underground, they gathered in communal dining halls and large banquet tents to toast with Adolph Coors' locally brewed lager. The brewery officially adopted the name "Banquet Beer" in 1937.

3 Floyds Brewing Co. -- Turbo Reaper
    West coast-style India pale ale
    ABV: 7%; pouring temperature: 43.3 ℉; canning info: 03/17/26
Source: local purchase (Weber Street Liquor)
Auxiliary vice: Padrón -- Series 7000; Col. E.H. Taylor -- Small Batch (unseen)

Pours a clear, golden color yet has a mildly translucent body; dense, swirling carbonation; thick head, off-white, long-lasting, sporting sticky webs and rings of foam inside the glass. Light malt nose carrying faint notes of fruity esters. Great flavor; light malt backbone; notes of non-citrus tropical fruits; pine resin hop presence, lingering. Medium-heavy mouthfeel; full and sticky with a semi-juicy undertone.

Overall, this is a satisfying west coast style India pale ale. The looks and taste are the highlights. The smell didn't come on that strongly, but what there was was pleasant enough. I would put this about mid-tier as far as American IPAs go.

Happy Monday BAs! I was not expecting it to be this hot outside, but thankfully, I've got a glass of Antique Peepshow IPA to wet my whistle. This was Refined Fool's first IPA when they opened in 2014, and I still think it's pretty decent. Cheers!

Crystal clear, dark brown pour, opaque look in the glass; light khaki hued head, semi-dense and frothy with sticky patterned flecks of foam inside the glass. Delightful scent of roasted and slightly charred grain with a chocolatey cacao element; dark malts. Rich and mellow taste; nearly muted milk chocolate flavor with hints of vanilla and a bare touch of caffeine; nice offsetting charred grain and coffee bitterness. Heavy body; smooth and densely slippery; lip-smacking stickiness.

The beauty of the well-crafted non-barrel aged stout. Here is a prime example. I assume that cacao nibs, vanilla, graham cracker, and cappucino are adjuncts used in this beer. The can notes mention these flavors (if not an actual adjunct list). One readily picks up these flavors. Regardless, this is a fine, fine stout and a real pleasure to drink on a cold, wet, mid-Spring along the Colorado Front Range.

Sad day for sure. The early to mid 90's Seattle sound was one of the best eras of rock IMHO.

Getting into Digital Comforts from Good Word in Atlanta, courtesy of @ATL6245 , thanks David! Also got to enjoy this on Cask when we met back in late April. Have to say this is one of my favorite Good Word brews, so much flavor in a 3.9% abv package.
    Cheers!

Next up is Brew Your Mind Human Experiment Sixty-Five, a hazy DIPA. It’s not my favorite BYM, that’s for sure … beers in the Human Experiment line don’t always work.

That sounds great, P! I had some friends that lived in Marin County (San Rafael area), that I used to visit often - back when Continental (pre-United purchase) used to fly 3 non-stops to SFO from Cleveland daily- and often at great prices under $200 usd....good times and many excellent jaunts to wine country, and visiting amazing parks like Muir Woods and Mt Tamalpais, and Stinson Beach, among many other places - often considered moving there, except it is sooooo expensive, compared to Ohio....cheers!

Just back from some sea kayak paddling out on my lake - 85 degrees and gusty 30+ knot winds made for some interesting conditions - whitecaps on the lake and fun paddling!

Time to hydrate with a briny pickle beer! One of the best!
