Ding! It's high noon here and time for a beer. Cool today. Crappy wet weather here for the past 48hrs but have rcv'd buckets of rain. No complaints lodged except for hydroplaning a few times driving home last night.
The only Schell's glass I've owned, a 12 oz mug, cracked and broke a while back so I really need to pay Schell's a visit and pick up some gear. And the B & L is calling...Deer Brand

Had to put the A/C in with the 90+ degree temps here today and tomorrow. Drinking a Tree House - Juice Project Sunshine right now and it's tasting mighty fine with a unique tropical NZ hop combo of Peacharine, Paradisi, Nelson and Waimea. Big notes of peach, nectarine, stone fruits, tropical fruit, pineapple, ripe mango, papaya, red grapefruit, orange citrus, white grape, gooseberry, vanilla cream, light sweet caramelized bready pale malts, and dank floral earthy herbal grassy pine. Really liking the hop vibe on this one. Cheers all!

Brew day today. With the help of Google AI I'm trying to recreate Frederick Brewing Company's Hempen Ale. I had a pound of Hemp seed meal that I grabbed at a Cannabis festival and I'm finally doing something with it.
While the grains are mashing, time for a beer.

I will tip over another Schell's Deer Brand BIG ONE and ponder my next drum equipment scene. Decided to unload the Pearl kit I've assembled/used steadily for the past 10 yrs. Time to move on. It's going to a band mate and I'm sure I'll be hittin' it a lot, just not owning it and feeding it. My other kits beckon and as usual, there will be quite a few beer drinking moments when I'll get things set up, go back n forth a billion times to get things just so...and then change my mind and have to start over.

 

Stopped in RVA for vacation beers.

 

Next up is No Memories, another excellent hazy DIPA from Brew Your Mind.

Late lunch because I had this amazing beer sent to me by Derek in a completely unprovoked ninja strike and while I desperately wanted to down the bottle myself, I thought it only proper to share it with Garth, my only friend who likes beer as much as I do.

Man oh man, this is really good. I have no idea how they crammed all those flavors in and kept it light, almost crisp. Worth its reputation IMHO.
We have a second one on deck, back soon!

 

Doubleganger from Tree House now, a great DIPA with huge tropical stone fruit notes like overripe mango, passionfruit, apricot, blueberry, soft grapefruity orange citrus, light toasty caramelized bready malt, and dank floral resinous earthy herbal grassy pine. Real nice stuff. Cheers everyone!
