Another great IPA from @2beerdogs:



Sweet Leaf from Oscar’s Brewing Company in cahoots with String Beer. 16 fl oz can, received 18/05/26, in a ninja strike from @2beerdogs. Stored at 40 degrees F at home. Reviewed 20/05/26, review 3730.
Final impression and summation: 3.75 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) Uncredited label art. Very pleasing flavor combination, caresses the taste buds. I could drink this all day, until I passed out. (Note: Yet another brewer that admonishes me to “Drink Fresh” but doesn’t bother to date the container.)
Rating 3.95, rDev + 1%

Hübris Hüpped DDH cold IPA at Jónás in Budapest. It’s a decent beer and I love this bar’s setting right in the middle of a bustling city park.

Happy hump day off ba. Almost had a shot at starting the thread but of course the gf left for work later than normal.
Another steamy summer like day w/ t-storms coming through for the evening. Cool
and rainy for the holiday weekend- figures huh?

Into it w/ South down, breakfast stout, sand city. Not quite as pronounced, as fbs, but still solid for the style,

Next up at Jónás is Horizont Double Hazy Queen, the DIPA version of their flagship IPA. Pretty solid!

Against my better judgment, but following my heart, I decided to order a korsó* of house lager at Jónás (brewed by Reketye). I have a “morning” meeting with my American colleagues in an hour and it takes half an hour to get to my AirBnB from here But the weather is so damn good!

* pretty much uniformly in Hungary the beer sizes are pohár (“glass”, either 200mL or 300mL) and korsó (“jug” or maybe better “flagon”, 400mL or 500mL).

Happy rainy Wednesday BAs.....man, what a contrast from yesterday to today - cool, wet and mid-50's - feels like I am back in the Bay area - my daughter and I did that trip in 2019 - got to tour Anchor Brewing (little did I know it would be my last visit there!) and Russian River all in the same day on this date!
