Actually I didn't get lunch today and we're going on 7PM here ... I'm definitely going to get some döner kebab after my meeting is over

Fortunately Thursty is no country I know of, must or would’ve been Helles on earth.

Man, they do get tired of the hungry/Hungary joke here. But the first time I came here in 2019, I used the phrase "I know we're in Hungary, but I'm pretty thirsty!" like fifty dozen times.

They still let me come back, though.

At the new Tree House Faneuil Hall spot this afternoon for a drink and some cans to go. Drinking a Super Treat here before I run to Trillium Fenway for some beers. Cheers everyone!

Happy Friday BA. A bit of a better week this time. I got some call backs from recruiters, so I have a glimmer of hope.

Just finished Banana by Dan Koeppel: 4.25/5 Incredible history and biology book. Fast paced, interesting, and very readable. Fun fact is that the quran and hindu mention bananas as a symbol of purity and paradise, not like apples in the garden of eden. Plenty of great detailed information and a timeline. Covers all of the fruit companies, politics, and corruption in the fruit industry in Central America. Also big growers in africa and South America. Great biology science of the fruit and genetic modification, and the story of the Gros Michel extinction from blight, and now we have the cavendish. Loved it.

Right now: The Road Taken by Henry Petroski: 4/5 An engineering book about infrastructure and history. Quite a bit of politics as expected, but a well structured book with good information. It's a little dry, but given that an Engineer wrote it, it was expected.

Me and my Wife are out an Kiosco on Spring Garden for more amazing mexican food and beer once again.

Fresh and frothy wicked weed pernicious and beef and bean nachos.

New quesabirra tacos on the menu, and a normal sized wicked weed Pernicious. They are delicious tacos.

Working on server patches and some of the nodes load the updates so much faster, even compared to others on the same cluster.
    Thought a beer would help.

Not a bad take on the style, think I preferred yesterday’s one from Surly just a bit more.
    Cheers!

Dreher Session IPA, a light and unremarkable but totally serviceable mass market beer. But it pairs nicely with döner kebab!

My favorite Quad City brewery, Radicle Effect Brewerks, has Schlitz on tap at all times. Wonder what they'll go with when they can no longer get Schlitz? Probably Hamm's, because the one time they couldn't get Schlitz, that's what they filled in with. I'll miss the occasional Schlitz on draught, but Hamm's would be a nice replacement. Cheers!
