    I got up 13 hours ago and had a long day of walking (14k steps) and riding the rails and beer drinkin’, but have failed to consume any solid food. So I’m gonna house this döner and then feel sick and pass out :joy:

    Beer is Peaceful Revolution IPA from Brew Your Mind; one of their lesser works, I’d say. Not bad by any means, but not up to their usual standards.

    Some friends gave me the wood, I just had to fill in the bottle caps. I tried to match up states with breweries that matched where possible, but just don't have caps from all the states.

    ...as I mentioned in the New Beer Weekend thread, I am surprised this Abyss variant never seemed to have been added to the BA database...and at roughly 12-13 years of age, it has aged beautifully and drinks like a charm...a nice front-loading beer for today as Mrs. BeerGoot and I are hosting a celebration meal this late afternoon for a neighbor who has dealt with colon and liver cancer issues the past 12 months or so (he seems to have done well and ended chemo therapy a short while ago)...so, one of many things to celebrate at any time, but also a weekend to remember the ultimate sacrifice many Americans have made in defense of our freedoms...

    I have one of these as well. though yours looks bigger and I like how the states are outlined. It was fun trying to match up the states with bottle caps as much as I could.

    Got the checkbook all balanced. Beer reward time: Lawson's Sip of Sunshine. Found a new grocery store with a great stovepipe selection and great prices. $4 for the SoS. Meanwhile, a few feet away in the cooler they're selling 4x16oz SoS for $20 :thinking_face: Cheers!
