Stopped by the Malted Barley for a quick lunch. First up: Revival Brewing's Oak-Aged Burnsider Pale Ale mixed with Cottrell's Perry's Revenge, on cask. Seriously. That's a fucking mouthful.

And yes, it is extremely tasty. Next up, enjoy it while it lasts: Firestone Walker's Sucaba.

Probably the last time I'll get to enjoy this on tap; Parabola tapped out yesterday (no surprise).

    Cheers, all!

My wife took the kids out to a birthday party. I considered running into the city for some Sucaba/Parabola on tap. Decided to stay home and watch some lacrosse. Drinking Flower Power...

I think the lunch tab, gas, and parking cost I would have spent should be redirected into more beer buying. That's how I'll justify it.

    Pretty good beer!

About to clean up the house a bit, and prep for dinner this evening. Pizzas on the BGE.

And listening to this guy. According to our bell man, Robert Clark flew in on his helicopter last Saturday night and landed on the south lawn of this casino. He then played a free 40 minute set with Vince Gill who played first and was the billed show. F'in cool in my book. Cheers BA!

100% honest. i'm on the fence. if you pay attention i tend to drink mostly impy stouts & heavier stuff with the occasional ipas, sour & other styles thrown in. to me it came off thin - even with the full knowledge it's a Belgian style. i poured twice. didn't feel up to taking down the last third of the bottle (will later this afternoon on a cleared palate). thing is, the first couple of sips, were filled with chocolaty goodness. thereafter i felt like what i once heard a real crackhead say... which (paraphrasing) was something along the lines of the first hit of that shit was heaven, the next few hundred grand was spent attempting to find & return to that 1st hit of heaven. reflecting on his lesson, unless that last third delivers something more promising, IF you see me showing up with more of these please do an intervention & get me into rehab.

Yeah, it's not bad. Kind of competing flavors going on, but it works. Their normal CPA is awesome, so theres that.
