    Yeah is it me or it surprising to anyone else that Narwhal isn't higher-rated? Not that it isn't highly rated. I guess I just found that I seemed to enjoy it more than its aggregate rating thus far would have predicted.

    No matter; an affordable imperial stout that's that good staying on shelves for a while is just fine by me.

    Christmas present from my lady. We were supposed to share but I ended up downing the whole thing. As Christmas beers go, this is up there.

    Wedge brewery in the River Arts district is always a great place to grab a beer. It looks like they've got their RIS on tap, which I haven't had an opportunity to try yet, but I'm hoping to this weekend.

    BA has this listed as brewed by Black Toad Brewing Co. but Josephsbrau Brewing Co. is on the bottle which is the Trader Joe's label. At any rate, this is a really tasty English Brown Ale. I don't know if Trader Joe's has their own proprietary yeast strain or what but every beer I've had from them has a similar yeast note in the finish that tags it as a TJ's beer to me. Anyone else notice this?

    Total Wine in Cherry Hill was our source for Krampus. $8 I believe. Still many left as of a few weeks ago.

    Starting off with another Flower Power. I just can't get enough of this stuff lately.

    It's weird, their are definitely quite a few styles that I prefer to IPA's, but I don't get a craving for any of them like I do with IPA's.

    Anyway, enjoying my beer, listening to the Doors, and contemplating what I'll crack open next. Cheers!
