Full disclosure, I have been slacking so much that I had no clue this was even back in CO.

 

Allllllllrighty, then- let's get this thing started-

It seems a suitable beer for the honored glassware tonight- there's no hint at all of the strength, and it's also about as fruity as a non-fruited beer can get. Wow- lots of apricots, dates, berries, with maybe a hint of butterscotch caramel sauce...and then the wood and vanilla come on late. Goes down too easy; very dangerous.

I guess I'll play some metal, too- and one from an English band, about drinking, is very appropos right about now. Take it away Vim Fuego and the boys:

It is useless to resist. Finishing off the growler of Chinook IPA tonight, with the Duvel, of course.

Hello to all our American Cousins! I didn't know anything about Duvel day. But I had one earlier this week. The head was like a meringue! This is pretty good too. 6.4% with a slight Belgian undertone and candied fruit mixed with spicy hop finish.
