    Came home to a very hot home , the AC unit was not working , luckily I fixed it for 15.00 , the coil on the contacts was bad , so decided it was time for a celebratory beer "beers" and cigar

    I started out with this but for some reason the finish was off (didn't see that in any of the other notes) but despite that not a huge fan... I think this is the first time I've poured out any Stone :slight_frown:

    Starts with a hint of sweet, but then quickly goes tart. A little cherry. Ends with some plum sweetness but oddly the aftertaste is dry.

    It's hot as balls here right now. I actually installed the A/C, then spent a good hour and a half cleaning up the room, putting things away, cleaning up the trash...and then taking care of an inordinate amount of dog poop and pee. Disgusting. Thanks for being responsible, honey!

    Taking the beer easy today, as I perhaps overdid it yesterday rooting for America. Still, I need some liquid refreshment right now, and this beer is exactly what I needed.

    Just finished rating Flying Dog's Pearl necklace Oyster Stout (4.14). Followed it with a FBS and updated my review of it to incorporate 9 months ageing. The coffee has faded and so has the head and lacing. Still the standard even at 9 months of age, imho.
