Yes sir! Had Elevated a few years back when I spent a winter living in Taos, NM and ever since it's been something I traded for. Having La Cumbre my local option is somewhat of a dream come true. If you ever need any don't hesitate to ask. Cheers man!

 

Here's another new one for me-

Straub's pre-prohibition revival beer. Golden in color (despite the lighting in that photo), with the slightest hint of amber, the nose features a healthy dose of hallertau hops and a bready/toasty malt base. Palate is smooth and very well put together with moderate bitterness that comes on late and lingers a bit. The more you drink this, the more the corn comes on, although it never overtakes the other qualities. If anything, this is better than I thought it would be- nothing fancy, mind you, but a pleasurable all-day drinker. Nice job, Straub!

 

Hmmmm, so by your comments I take it you didn't like it at all?

Mouy bien/sehr gut!

 

Terrapin Guano Loco, which read like a Mexican Cake knockoff but a brown instead of an imperial stout. Not really a fan of it, kind of an off tasting brown and followed with a heartburn-like pepper heat.

That it is...chapter change in my life for sure -- beginning a Master's program and testing out the long distance relationship while the woman finishes up her graduate degree here in VT.

 

Got the last sixer in the store and the giants kick off in a few minutes. It's a good day!
