An after lunch tasting, I still prefer the standard 4D over the BB4D :grimacing::flushed:

Apparently it's "IPA Day"? Drinking the Mikkeller coffee IPA.

    And now with curry.

Big bash this weekend for birthday so decided to keep in simple for the actual date yesterday. Started with one of my all-time favorite DIPA, Tired Hands Uyawa Pog (which I recently realized reminds me so much of Alpine Keene Idea and Great Lake Chillwave)

It's my birthday, can, don't tell me what to do! (OK, so the boy disagreed*)

Tapped out of the night with this silky smooth maple BA Hill Farmstead Beyond Good & Evil, which took me quite a bit of efforts to land. Worth it though. Thank you @mkurylko !

@LeperJim I want you to know that in my fridge i had a baltic porter, an imperial red, a gose, a saison an alt, a stout, a lager, a dark lager, an english dark ale, a milkstout and a kreik BUT NO IPA- SO - I hightailed it down to the store and will be back in about 5 hours ( chilling time) with my prize! Cheers people and Happy IPA Day!

Really nice stuff. Best TRIPA I've had. Beats Devil Dancer hands down.

hmm. that Taddy was misspelled, it should have read: Tardy Porter.:grinning:

moving right along, another oldie but goodie. first sip of this was dynamite. been so long i had kinda forgotten what a gem it represented. now reminiscing, not sure why i didn't get a bunch more cases back then - @ $27.75 out the door (just over $1.15/btl), these were a steal & still tasting great!!

Fresh it's kinda hot. Getting better with a year on it. I've aged it up to 2 1/2 years before and when it gets into that range it's downright magical. Sadly I have no more from that batch so this is the first of the new 4 pack I've been aging.

Going triple on IPA Day with a cellar pull from 3+ years.

Wow! Still a beast despite over three years. The malt sweetness has faded considerably, but loads of alcohol heat, followed by a bitter hop bite and very dry finish. I'm in the camp of liking a few fresh, but this is very worthy and a completely different beer now.

    Have a great day gang!
