What beer are you drinking now? #694

From last night. Decent stout. Just a tad thin. I would have liked to have waited a year on this. A few too many hops for my taste in stouts. Liked the milk chocolate finish, though.

 

In Milwaukee yesterday on my way to Green Bay for the Jets Packers game. Had to stop at Karl Ratzch's Restaurant, for a late lunch. Deep fried Knockwurst with their special Beer - Cheese dressing, covered with a veggie garnish, with a Sprecher's Special Amber Vienna Lager (started with a Czech style Summer Pils). Absolutely Deeelicious!

Ratzch's has been around since the 1920's. I went there with my parents in 1965, and get back whenever I am in Milwaukee (which is an awesome town!). Wish I had time to go to Lakefront, and a few of the other new breweries in town, but I did pick up a 7 six packs from various brewers to bring home.

 

Great beer. Coffee and cinnamon for days. Unfortunately, pales compared to Hanahpu, but which beer doesn't?

Pumpkin ales. A few short years ago I despised pumpkin. Now, a well made pumpkin brew, like Alaskan Pumpkin Porter really tickles my fancy. Strange, isn't it?

 

Feel free to join me, but though I reside in Browns/Indians country, I bleed Bengals orange. We can still band together as Ohioans and represent the AFC North!
