    Good morning fellow advocates of fine beer! I'm fortunate enough to have the day off. That's the good news. The bad news (though it happens around this time every year) is that means today is the day I close our pool. A time consuming though not terribly difficult venture. This is certainly a great way to start the day and a great way to assist the task at hand.

    So you are saying this is worth getting even after best by date? My shop just got 6 in with best by date of 8/24/14. I've never tried it except for fresh.

    Mine had a bottling date, not a best by date. But it has been in my ~60°F basement for 2.5 years, and was delicious. I haven't had it fresh since then, so I can't specifically tell you what has changed... wish I had gotten a new one for a side by side, but I am actually trying to knock off some of the older stragglers in the cellar, and to bring new beer in while I'm trying to reduce "inventory" seems counter productive. (suddenly realizing I probably didn't need to buy a case of the Oracle this year...)
