Been out of commission a few days with a stomach thing. Last night, I got back in the game with this:

If you take one thing away from this post, don't ever drink this beer. It is the furthest thing from bliss.

So I needed something else to fill the void:

At present, however, I'm involved with this:

Not as fresh as it could be; but over the weeks it's been in my refrigerator, it's taken on properties of Jai Alai. No complaints here.

Drinking a Sierra Nevada Flipside right now. I reached a milestone over the weekend having consumed my 365 different beer since last November 15th. It started out as a dare to drink a different beer a day for a month, then 100 different beers in 100 days, then I said why not go for 365 different beers in 365 days....mission accomplished with roughly 6 weeks to spare.
Here were my last 4 beers from Saturday to get to 365.

Today is a special beer day. Today we rode our mountain bikes on one of our favorite trails in Vermont. Eurich pond. Here is the pond

My first recipe as a home brewer was a dry stout that came out a bit sweet, but is good enough to have won a blue ribbon at the state fair. This is the label.



While drinking it someone at our condo asked what it was. I shared it with him. Since he then had to have some I traded a 6 pack of my homebrew for a mixed 4 of this.



I love home brewing.

 

Just had a Victory Festbier. Not bad, but it kind of reminded me of Shiner Bock.
