Made a 2L starter tonight of WLP028 Edinburgh Ale. Making an 80 Shilling on Sunday. Destined for my 4th keg to complete my setup. Also, I am a free man again. I got my wound VAC removed today off my leg so I can move around without carrying a damn bag with me everywhere :grinning:. The current dressing only needs changed once a week or so until fully healed. May be able to start riding that bike that almost killed me again this upcoming week

    Revisit review night, feeling Belgian.

Very nice BSPA. Weak, but pleasant aromas; very well balanced and good complexity. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, honey, biscuit, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice sized earthy yeast spiciness on the finish. Very well carbonated and crisp mouthfeel; fairly prickly and dry finish. Very smooth with no real booze for 10%, other than a warming well after the finish. Delicious stuff.

This was really damn good, especially considering it's over 3 years old. Taste of lemon, tangerine, apricot, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, honey, bread, herbal, straw, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spice and slight tartness on the finish. Very well balanced flavors with a nice crisp finish.

Still absolutely insane. Taste of huge raisin, plum, fig, date, cherry, toast, toffee, brown bread, brown sugar, clove, pepper, light chocolate, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Moderate earthy yeast spice on the finish. Awesome malt and yeast balance of flavors. Super smooth and moderately crisp sipping for 10%. No booze anywhere. Absolutely amazing, but I still like La Trappe Quad more, so bring on the haters. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wish that I had cable... Why did TBS have to buy the rights?

Appreciate the props. Nobody brought the funk like Hillel. He laid the groundwork and inspired what would become his protege, Mr. Frusciante. Sad what happened and your damn right...what could have been. Like Billy Joel said. Only the good die young. Cheers brother.

Was only planning to have one bomber tonight, but a guy at work who's also into craft beer randomly gave this to me today, so of course i have to drink it asap, otherwise i'm insulting him, right?

... So much for the no beer on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday ...

Not to mention it's Friday so falls outside of the rules => OK to drink a beer!

My father-in-law does (11) beers/week: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday with 3-3-3-2 = 11 beers/week and he never deviates. Clockwork. (I kid you not!!)

If I could jump onto this beef pile too, I have noticed the '13 is not the same and isnt improving. That being said, I never noticed any bourbon flavor. I get the oak, but like Burton Baton. I am sure I have asked this before, but is this not aged in new barrels ?
