Went to a dinner party last night and had a few there. Started with Flying Dog's The Truth. Somewhat like Two Hearted but with a bigger emphasis on the piney flavors, which I didn't love. Followed by Fat Tire, which actually tasted better than the half-hour-old bottle I had when I visited NB back in the summer. Third was DFH Kvasir, which was quite tasty and refreshing. Finally was BP Victory at Sea, which I was so excited to try, and it really let me down. Just an excessive amount of bitterness and acridity in the finish. I will grant that my palate was pretty warped from dinner and the previous drinks, and would definitely like to try it again. But after spending $11 on the bottle I was pretty bummed.

First time with this beauty. Oh Jesus, is this amazing. Evil Twin does stouts like no other. The couch cushions are warm and forming to my ass cheeks. That can only mean one thing...it's a football frenzy ladies and gentlemen. Cheers.

Splitting some brews with the lady and a nice charcuterie board on this lovely day. Making the best out of a recent trip to the local Italian Market!

It's back to the 1960's version, and they did a great job trying to recreate it as best as they could. Check it out:

Right now it's being test marketed in the NE, but I sure hope it's proved to be successful enough to move on from there.
