    Enjoyed my day off by taking an extended lunch at the Malted Barley in Westerly, RI.

    Flight, from left to right: Ommegang Scythe and Sickle (damn tasty Biere de Garde; tons of yeast on the back-end); Heavy Seas Plank III Tripel (perfectly decent American Tripel); Lagunitas New Dogtown APA (damn; super hoppy and dank, yet full-bodied and creamy; so much better than a session IPA!); North Coast Red Seal Ale (perfectly acceptable amber/red ale; nice balance of hops and malt).

    Just picked up a Leinie's Winter Explorer pack. Im looking forward to trying Winter's Bite. Ive tried their Snowdrift before and didnt love it but lately my tastes have shifted towards darker, heavier beers; so Im looking forward to trying it again.
