I literally was deciding between drinking this and Old Curmudgeon but this beer is really the better of the two
The information is very vague right now. Based on what I could find out, it may have been warning shots, and it may have been an active shooter. There's no doubt that something definitely happened, but I'm sure I won't know the details until tomorrow.
Scary shit, I guess. It's tough to make our kids realize this kind of shit is very real, not just something they read about on the news that only happens to some nebulous "other people."
Miffed at the NFL for hookin' us with Thurs night football on CBS, then pulling the old okie doke halfway thru the season and switcheroo-ing to the NFL network, which a lot of us don't get. Free Thursday Night Football! Am doing okay with Santa Fe Porter, Coop F5 IPA and a Prairie Bomb (I don't know what cacao nibs are but I like 'em).
Sorry for the blurry picture, but this is pretty damn good. I don't taste a whole lot of bourbon, but it's a tasty beer.
And now having this, thanks to a true BA, @totalbangover
Time for some 2013 Narwhal, cheers!
Calling them babies now, must be growing on ya! I've thoroughly enjoyed nostalgically living through your posts this week. Cheers!

Council Pirate's Breakfast w/ Coffee and Vanilla (plus a scoop of vanilla ice cream)
Quite mellow with a year on it.. Needed something to warm me up this evening.
Making it a Sierra Nevada night with Tumbler. This might be my favorite brown ale. It just nails everything I look for in the style. Rich, roasted malt, with a touch of smoke.
Drinking a Hoppin' Frog Frog's Hollow Double Pumpkin Ale. Cheers!
I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow you head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?
Whatever happened to bill bruford? Great drummer!!!!
Some Jai Alai I brought back from vacation. I have had it before but never this fresh. I now see why it gets great reviews.
.... on with my 'end of Autumn' theme ... very sad to see the last of these in my fridge but all good things...
this was my first year able to get any, and it rocks my world .... sticky pineapple, tads of grapefruit and limejuice, really light body for all that taste, and a solid feel w/ resiny coherence ..... I will miss you severely FH .... until next year then, happy trails.
Celebrating our engagement tonight! (No worries, she didn't want a big pour)
Last of the 2013 bottles...
Beer no. 2 right at halftime
Love the IPAs with a little more malty! Phins locked in to an old fashioned ball possession fight.
Enjoying this Elysian Space Dust IPA (beer #748) <--
...watching the game (FWIW, I picked the Bills to win *shrugs* ...we'll see...)
*Bills automatically lose now*

Founders Brewing - Backwoods Bastard 2014 by imbibehour, on Flickr
Gets to the heart of the session thread for me. I want another brew but I don't want to fall over.
That's good to know, for a moment there... I thought it was me
Moved on to this. Wow, chiles are strong on this one, a bit too much so for my liking. While good, I prefer Bomb! over this. Cheers all!
Can't wait until this warms a bit. It's frigid, yet flavors are still popping:
Wishing I was at the El Rey tonight to watch Nils tear it up:
Watching some Thursday night NFL action with my newest friend, Ivan. Ivan is anything but Terrible! He is a mighty delicious stout...even Rollie Fingers stands by this beer!
Dark Horse PT5. Bottled 2/25/14. Meant to pull this out at 6 months but forgot. Still has a little bitterness. Roasty and awesome. Good way to warm up on a cold night. Still have 4 more in the basement for future enjoyment .
Drinking a Dark Horse Sarsaparilla 666
Excited for the 4 Elf Party in a about a month
Playing the Master Chief Collection
Technically Ohio has a pretty dumb open container law that can be applied about anywhere, but I am having 1 beer in a parked vehicle with 2 hours to kill so I would gladly partake in any sobriety tests . But yeah, I could see that.
I'm the other way around. Let them age for a while that pepper will fade a bit...
My fav and finally have some. .. can't wait to get it fresh at the brewery this weekend..
Broad brook brewing Hopstillo IPA 16 oz cans. Very fresh bought in Connecticut. No pic busted!!!
Smooth nice malt/hop balance...
Can't say that I'd ever drink in my vehicle, but I'm not WesMantooth aka Vincent Vaughn.
Thought this tasted like robotussin. Sadly disappointed.
