Having lunch now, going local again!

Some leftover Cavaluzzo's traditional Sicilian pizza re-heated in the toaster oven paired with a Saucony Creek Saucony Sessions Ale! The beer was canned almost 2 months ago and tastes just a good now as when it was fresh! Almost an entirely different beer!!! So lemony and resiny it's not funny!
If you ever find yourself in Emmaus, PA you MUST stop in and have ANYTHING on the menu at Cavaluzzo's, the family has been doing it right for almost 30 years! We've been eating there damn near every week for the past few month's!

    Cheers!

12/13/14 -- A calendar-istic vertical day, if there ever was one.

Can't believe the wife agreed to do the vertical with me…

…Now, if I can only get her to do the horizontal...:astonished::confused::grimacing:

Anyway. I won't be alive the next time a true calendar vertical comes my way, so guess I'd better make the best of it!:grinning::grinning::sunglasses::sunglasses:

    Cheers!

Tsingtao is actually #2. Snow beer in China is #1, and is nearly double the volume of Tsingtao. 103.3m hectolitres vs 52.5m hectolitres

Nice, I wonder if Troegs has any Impending Descent, love that beer. Maybe I'll swing over today and check it out.

Their on-line tap list says they still do! Let me know, maybe I'll get some of that too!

Didn't think to look, good call. They keep their tap list up to date. If you go give some a try, it's my favorite Troegs beer.

Nils Oscar God Lager. It's a Dortmunder Export according to the brewery but it might be called a well attenuated Vienna lager instead. The malt is Vienna malt, the OG 12.9% (approaching the strenght of a Vienna lager of around 13-14%) with 5.3% abv (higher than what would have been typical in the 1800s), with Spalter and Tettnanger hops. It's nicely bready and malty, with a medium body and a good strong bitterness and aromatic hop flavors which keeps it from being sweet. It's a very tasty beer.

Perhaps after the vertical she will be more easily talked into the horizontal!:rolling_eyes::sunglasses:

Helped move a piano this morning, that was a blast.

Now catching up on the Terps game I missed this morning and feeding my son his lunch. Believe mine will be of the liquid variety.
