Decided to crack one upon hearing the news. I'll drink them until they prove otherwise. Cheers to the hump!

Cheers y'all! I have to admit that the thread about the twelve beers of xmas got me started and I am having a different, not necessarily a new or rare beer each day until then. On some days I have more than one beer and today IS one of those days. I am making my way through saranacs winter case. I like saranac so I will start there.

Saranac makes a fine english style pale ale. Has lots of hops but not the citrusy american ones. The noble hop kind and they are delectable alongside a firm caramel malt.

The chai brown is surprisingly good. I have to admit when I heard "chai" I thought . . . ."well maybe it won't be so good". But it is a well done brown ale. Perfectly malty and toasty, a touch of bread, a nice malty sweetness brown sugar, and then a little touch of cocoa, coffee and chai spice flavors. A hint of vanilla really smooths it out and it drinks really well.

The legacy IPA can hold it's own with any IPA out there. if you have tried beaucoup IPA's then you can see for yourself that this one is definitely more than serviceable or solid. It's tasty and has a really nice body to the beer with a bit of peppery herbal hops too.

3 down 3 to go. Cheers! And what day is it?

Had a great beer night last night with a buddy. First up, a growler of RRBC Row 2, Hill 56

Then a couple older Anchor Christmas ale -- I thought I had '12 and '13 but oh well. They were pretty good and had a little more body but did taste a bit old.

Then split a freshy, which was better but thinner

Capped off with a great beer from a trade with the great BA Wisconsin. New Glarus R&D Wild Peach easily earns it's 100 rating. Wow, that was fantastic! Thanks Wisconsin!

Damn, posting all of that has made me thirsty!

My after Lagunitas Imperial Stout drink. Bought this by mistake, but it's very good! Kind of feel bad saying it, and not to hate on Bell's because it's a VERY good example of a stout, but i think I prefer the Lagunitas Stout almost. Don't get me wrong, this is excellent but there's something I still like the Lagunitas one for better. Maybe it's just because it's a bit fresher than the Lagunitas one which was sitting at their store for about 4 months

Because it's relatively inexpensive in comparison to other craft brews of comparable quality. (why pay more?)

Definitely get it, it's underrated by a long shot. Around here atleast, it's kind of a hit or miss if I'll see it or not. So it's rare around me in Ohio at least. I recommend getting it if you see it, I doubt you'll be disappointed. Especially is awesome since they have 4 packs of it. I've only ever seen it in 750 mill bottles

    ^^Great photos^^

My first Victory at Sea Coffee Vanilla Imperial Porter. My iPhone couldn't capture the intensity of the head, but it was comparable to a root beer float. I sure sucked it down like one.
