    For today's NBS/DotD, I've chosen Sierra Nevada's 30th Anniversary Jack and Ken's BA Black Barleywine from 2010. Yes, black barleywine.

    Now, some appropriate tunes to get you in the right mood.

    Well, now that Peter Steele is dead, yeah. :flushed: Type O had a habit of making everything - including the Beatles - simultaneously melodic yet sinister. (Their cover of Black Sabbath, above, is downright scary at times; I love it!)

    So you guys! Today is Day of the dark. Hence the Blackout Stout. AND it's new Beer Sunday - hence.

    On a relaxing Sunday morning you can almost picture olden times. Dark corners with pots and kettles . . . things a brewin'. If you were going to pass the winter time mostly indoors you would want beer and a nice fire. Can't say we have had much winter here. Snow is ll gone and looks more brown than white out there.

    SO todays New Beer Sunday coincides with WBYDN Day of the Dark. I have Blackout Stout by Great Lakes.
